Healing Broken Bones and Other Serious Injuries (Attention Especially Skateboarders, Snowboarders)

In the course of recovering from a fractured wrist, I discovered the following modalities. I’m listing them here without going into detail. Since not a lot of people have broken bones (or other injuries), the bulk of this post is on the next page.1. Comfrey seems to be a magic healing plant. Google it. Compresses made from fresh leaves are best, but there are other comfrey products:

Anna and Sarah Organic Comfrey Root Cut & Sifted 19 Oz

Christophers Original Formulas Bf&C Cut W/ Comfrey 16 OZ

Starwest Botanicals Organic Comfrey Leaf Cut, 1-pound Bag

Dr. Christopher’s Original Formulas Comfrey Ointment, 2 Ounce

Dr Christopher’s Formula Complete Tissue and Bone Ointment, 4 Ounce

2. Everyone seems to agree that you should take calcium citrate and vitamin D3 for bone healing. I tend to gag on horse-size pills, and found the following work-arounds:

BariMelts Calcium Citrate Bariatric Vitamins

Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate Chewy Bite Caramel 60 chews (totally tasty!)

3. Flexmeter Wrist Guard Single Sided

4. Therapy Putty – Resistive Hand Exercise Therapy Putty Kit, set of four strengths, 2 ounces of each putty
5. Lastly, of great importance: a good rehab hand specialist. Also acupuncture.
