745 Furnished IKEA/Ideabox House $86,500

745 SF 1BR/1BA, Typically priced at $86,500

“Introducing aktiv, the first in a new line of houses designed by ideabox and appointed by IKEA. Swedish inspired, wide open living, functional, no wasted space…

Working with IKEA Portland designers, we designed aktiv around IKEA systems. In the kitchen, IKEA offers a lot of flexibility in kitchen cabinets. We designed the layout, and our clients can select the colors. IKEA appliances offer state-of-the-art cooking, so we included an induction cooktop and convection oven. A counter depth refrigerator…IKEA flooring…When your ideabox aktiv arrives, all of the cabinets, countertops, and flooring are installed…” https://www.ideabox.us/models/aktiv/

We used to call those a "singlewide"

And the cabinets were already installed.

What is the difference between a "singlewide" and a "shotgun shack"?
    The cabinets?

A singlewide is manufactured and most shotgun houses r built on sight by hand… Just stating the obvious… Though both traditionally are the homes of company labor… Except the old shotguns in Cabbage Town In Atlanta GA… Now these are home to hippsters, hippies, artists.

Does it arrive on its own wheels.Or does it come out of a Tractor trailer on a pallet.

it looks like the bathroom / laundry is behind the bedroom..
Not the best when you think of it…in my opinion. Imagine dirty kids / family traipsing through your bedroom….

It would be interesting to know how this structure compares in price, construction quality and quality of life with some of the solutions offered in New Orleans after Katrina, where shotgun form factors are not at all unusual, at least among working folk.
